Akshay takes a step forward, confronting Ranbir about his unexpected bout of depression triggered by a seemingly simple request from Vishaka. As Ranbir remains motionless, Akshay firmly states that eventually, they will have to take their relationship to the next level, so why not perform the ritual right away in the presence of their family members.
Manpreet feels uncomfortable with the situation and voices her concern to Ashok, urging him not to push Ranbir into doing something that goes beyond his comfort zone.
However, Ashok becomes annoyed and insists that they should trust Vishaka's wisdom and experience as the elder of the house. Under the collective persuasion of everyone present, Ranbir reluctantly agrees to offer vermilion to Mihika as part of the ritual.
However, Mihika reacts assertively, snatching the Thaal from Vishaka's hands, and herself presents it to Ranbir, taking control of the situation. With hesitation evident in his actions, Ranbir pinches the vermilion from the Thaal, his hands trembling as he reaches towards Mihika's hairline.
However, before he can complete the ritual, Prachi intervenes, swiftly gripping his hand tightly. In an unexpected turn of events, the vermilion from Ranbir's fingers accidentally falls on Prachi's hairline instead of Mihika's.
Amidst the shocked gasps of the family members witnessing the incident, Prachi speaks up, asserting that the right to vermilion belongs only to a married woman.
