In the meantime, the child runs off, calling out for her mother, but Lakshmi intercepts her. Lakshmi and Shalu offer comfort to the distressed child and inquire about the reason for her tears.
Wiping away her tears, the little girl reveals that Vikrant threatened and hurt her, causing her distress. She clings to Lakshmi and questions why she is marrying such a cruel person who will inevitably make her cry too.
